TIBURON, Marin County — October 31, 2026. Tiburon’s annual Diwali by the Bay celebration returns Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Zelinsky Park, 1505 Tiburon Boulevard. The town’s Diversity Inclusion Task Force is organizing a free afternoon featuring performances and family activities.
What is on the program?
The town’s official invitation lists Bollywood and bhangra dance performances, including Reed Elementary students, live music and a roaming dhol drummer. Organizers also describe henna designs, children’s rangoli sidewalk art and traditional diya lights. Food will be part of the event setting; the notice does not say every meal or vendor item is free.
Is registration needed?
The municipality advertises free admission and an event open to everyone. The announcement does not specify a reservation requirement, but families seeking a particular activity should check the latest instructions and plan for queues. An outdoor festival can be affected by weather or operational changes.
About the occasion
Diwali is a festival of light observed in several South Asian religious and cultural traditions. The town celebration emphasizes community participation and a chance to learn about the holiday. It is not interchangeable with Halloween or another local autumn celebration simply because it takes place in November.
