TIBURON, Marin County — October 31, 2026. Residents interested in the future of Cypress Hollow Park have a new opportunity to follow design discussions following a town-hosted virtual community meeting scheduled for October 27 at 8 p.m. The town organized the session to prepare for consideration by its Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission in November.
What did the town invite residents to review?
The October 19 town announcement said presentation materials would be available on the town’s parks page beginning October 26. It also planned a follow-up survey and a recording for people unable to attend the online meeting. The notice does not report survey results or establish a final design.
Why community input matters
Park design can involve tradeoffs between recreation, maintenance, habitat, pathways, access and surrounding neighborhood use. A recorded presentation allows residents to see the actual options being discussed rather than relying on sketches shared without context. Surveys can help decision-makers identify preferences, but an invitation to comment is not a binding referendum.
What happens next?
Check the town’s commission agendas and minutes for its November session, the status of the survey and any project recommendations. The public notice does not provide a final construction start date or guarantee a project budget. Any future park changes remain subject to the relevant town decisions.
